Now is for now.
Semi-Mindfulness Poetry
Now is for now.
New content comes slow,
break bricks on heads, feel the glow,
the warmth,
the heat,
beat,
heart and street,
place your feet,
place your face
directly through concrete,
annihilate consciousness,
feel free,
one with the ground.
Now see,
see stars,
see the contents of unfilled jars,
see the origins of the breath you caught,
unlearn the very words you were taught.
Taut lines,
snapped,
claptrap,
smacked,
unshacked,
unstacked,
unshackled from language.
Think beyond thought,
think without sound,
accept the thoughts that abound,
now choose none of them.
They are not for now,
now is for now,
and,
now is for now,
and,
now is for now.
Stop thinking,
stop drinking from that fountain of thought,
your head is heavy with it,
needless shit,
shit-spin,
get thin,
diet,
die to it,
shush it,
cut through.
Those old thoughts stop you receiving anything new,
glue,
clogging your system.
Now listen,
dwell on all you don’t know,
wash your mind in turpentine,
spirit,
fill it
with cleanser,
distil it,
let it trickle down
through your spine,
warmth,
tingle,
blind.
Feel the glow,
now let go,
let go of everything you have held.
Felled feelings,
past regret,
a history of neglect,
every disrespect,
every disconnect,
every time you wept.
Let go,
now white,
like snow,
focus on the glow,
make it bigger,
let it grow,
beyond sight.
Now is for now,
and,
now is for now,
and,
now is for now.
Let warmth wash over you,
now replace,
see with a new face,
you are connected to a new place.
Feel your heart swell,
on what do you want to dwell?
Everything that is good,
everything that is beautiful,
everything that is true to you.
Now fill,
stay still,
fill,
fill,
filled,
stilled,
build anew.
Become more truly you.
